On Thursday, April 27, ASP and TRIO Student Support Services welcomed 10 new members into the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) National Honor Society. XAE was formed in 1989 to recognize the academic achievements of students selected to participate in higher education opportunity programs, such as EOF, ASP and TRIO.

Awards were given to the male and female student with the highest GPA and to the male and female student showing most improved GPA in their ASP freshman class. These awards were made possible by Richard Libretti ’65, a Saint Peter’s University Board of Trustee member, who addressed the students and encouraged them to persist with their studies and dreams. The Academic Success Program at Saint Peter’s University works with academically disadvantaged students and provides support services and personalized counseling to help these students achieve success.
