This program includes:

  • 24 credits of core coursework
  • 21 credits within a chosen concentration
  • 3 credits for the qualifying exam and dissertation
    proposal
  • 12 credits of dissertation research

Students progress through the program with structured
milestones:

  • Qualifying Exam: By the end of the 4th trimester
  • Dissertation Proposal Defense: By the end of the
    5th trimester
  • Final Dissertation Defense: Upon completion of
    all seminar courses

MBA to DBA Transfer Credit Opportunity

Students and alumni of Saint Peter’s University who have completed the MBA program may be eligible to transfer up to 18 graduate credits toward the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. This accelerated pathway recognizes prior coursework and allows for a more efficient completion of the DBA.If you earned your MBA from another accredited institution, you may be eligible to transfer up to 12 graduate credits toward the DBA program, pending review and approval.

Financial Aid & Support

Financial Aid services are provided by the University’s Office of Financial Aid. Students may be eligible for federal aid, institutional awards and research assistantships.

International students in the STEM-designated DBA program may apply for up to 36 months of OPT (Optional Practical Training).
